Self-reflection of a year gone by.
It blows my mind that a year ago I got this idea to create a website full of decades worth of my writing as a way to inspire others. It is a legacy for my children and a legitimate, if not surreal chronicle of my spiritual journey.
I do not care that many didn't take it seriously. I do not care that no one donated.
I care about the people that have come up to me and said, "You know I was having trouble dealing with my feelings, so I wrote them down because of you, and it made me feel better."
I care about the people that simply said, "I needed to hear this today" or "I've really been thinking about getting back into my writing. I used to love it, but it kind of slipped away from me."
365 days I have dedicated myself to this project and now that it is nearing completion... I am excited about the future... and whatever that may be.
Thank you to everyone that has been there and rooted me on over the past year. So many of you have really shown compassion, understanding and support as I waded through self-discovery.
Do what you love. Even if no one gets it. Do not let people make you feel like you shouldn't have the greatest, most amazing, possible life that you can have. Don't give up on your dreams, just because they don't suit the social norms. Let them laugh. This is your life. They don't get to live it for you.
